Mountain States veal producers, working collaboratively with family-run Formula One, have committed themselves to excellence and leadership in animal health and well-being. Mountain States is dedicated to working with our suppliers to meet the industry initiative and the American Veal Association’s resolution of transitioning to 100% group loose calf housing in all veal facilities by 2017.  We’ve already invested in new, state-of-the art group housing facilities with the majority of new growers added to the network being group-housed operators.


The Newton family is just one example of the proud family tradition of raising delicious veal the right way, right here in the U.S.  Our producers hope that you truly enjoy the mild, melt-in-your-mouth veal that can only be Cedar Springs Nature Veal.


In 1963, the Newton family raised their first veal calf as a Future Farmers of America project for their son, Eddie. Over the years, they expanded the business and committed to exclusively supply Cedar Springs Veal with a proprietary, nutritious, dry-feed formula. Truly a family affair, Eddie and Darlene, along with their sons Brett and Shawn, oversee all aspects of their family veal business.
